Arcura was appointed to deliver a full aluminium package for Hollingdean Student Accommodation, including aluminium windows and doors, support plates, and a curtain wall system.
The installation was completed in carefully planned phases, with full EPDM detailing to ensure airtightness and long‑term performance across the building envelope.
The project presented several notable challenges. Glazing the curtain wall required the use of an on‑site crane positioned on a tight, busy road, which demanded precise coordination and strict safety management. The phased installation also had to be aligned with students moving into completed sections of the building, adding another layer of logistical complexity. In addition, the structure required particularly complex setting‑out work to ensure every window frame was accurately positioned and fully compliant.
Despite these pressures, Arcura delivered a well‑installed, high‑quality product. The team navigated the logistical constraints, sequencing demands, and technical challenges to provide a reliable, durable, and visually consistent finish throughout. The result is a project that stands as a testament to careful planning, strong communication, and the ability to maintain quality even on demanding sites.
