Quite often our clients already know exactly what they want. What they seek from us is to help them perfectly realise this.
This public school in Bromley, Kent is an example of this. They wanted to present their school at its best and already had a vision of how they were going to achieve this.
A key design feature was the clean white windows that were to contrast with the striking black sills – and the results more than justify their strident vision.
As with all school projects, safety and access were paramount. We fitted childproof opening restrictors and lockable handles, and we used the Teleflex Opening Gear system to offer extra security.
To fully complement the building, elegant Georgian bars and other period features were used, including the curved heads that were incorporated into some of the windows.
The result was period grace combined with contemporary ease of use and security.
Or, old school and new school, if you like.
