My name is Shaun Ridewood, and I’m the Design Team Manager at Arcura. I’ve been part of this family run business for 12 years, helping deliver high quality windows, doors, and curtain wall solutions across residential and commercial projects nationwide.

What initially attracted you to join Arcura and the construction industry?
I’ve always had an interest in the construction industry, ever since I was young (It’s in both sides of my family, so how could it not be possible!). I had an unexpected opportunity to join the family business in 2013, I saw this as my chance to show my family what I was capable of and help grow the business to what it is today.
Reflecting on your career, what achievement are you most proud of?
Overseeing and managing the change of the company’s name and image. This greatly enhanced our market position and customer perception.
What advice would you give to developers or contractors starting a new project?
Engage with a window specialist early on in the project so you can ensure that the designs and specifications are all achievable and compliant.
Personal Questions
What’s your favorite hobby or interest outside of work?
I like to cook; I will often do most of the cooking at the weekends. I also like to spend time with my two young and very energetic boys. I enjoy music and have a secret passion for DIY projects.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
The ability to be able to complete tasks in an instant and be 100% accurate – it would make the demands of my roll a breeze!
