As part of a new internal marketing initiative, we’re proud to launch ‘In the Frame’, a monthly blog series spotlighting the people behind Arcura. This series is all about connection. Through informal, Q&A style conversations, we’ll be sharing personal and professional insights from the team members who help bring our projects to life.
This edition will share insight into Kirsty Lavell, Marketing Manager.

Professional Questions
What initially attracted you to join Arcura and the construction industry?
I was drawn to Arcura, and the construction industry more broadly because of my previous experience across both the construction and public sectors. I’ve seen firsthand how much impact clear, thoughtful marketing can have, and I wanted to use that experience to make a real difference. Arcura offered the perfect opportunity to combine my skills with a sector I already understood, helping to elevate a brand that delivers meaningful, high quality work.
Reflecting on your career, what achievement are you most proud of?
I’m most proud of being able to make a real difference throughout my career, seeing the designs, campaigns, and marketing materials I’ve created still out there, still being used, and still delivering value. There’s something incredibly rewarding about knowing your work has longevity and continues to make an impact long after it’s been delivered.
What advice would you give to developers or contractors starting a new project?
I’d say the best advice is to invest time in planning and communication from day one. Make sure everyone involved understands the vision, the requirements, and the timelines. Also don’t underestimate the power of good marketing setting the right tone early helps build trust, attract the right partners, and keep the project moving in the right direction.
Personal Questions
What’s your favourite hobby or interest outside of work?
Outside of work, I love staying creative and active. Whether I’m exploring new places, getting stuck into a design project, or spending quality time with my partner, close friends, and family, anything that helps me unwind and recharge is a win. Having a mix of hobbies keeps me inspired and brings fresh energy back into my workand of course, being an Arsenal fan definitely adds some excitement to my downtime too…or causes me to be down lol.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
If I could have any superpower, I’d choose the ability to pause time. Not to get ahead of everyone else, but to create those extra pockets of calm where you can reset, refocus, or simply enjoy a moment a little longer. In a fast‑paced industry like construction and marketing, having the power to slow things down would be the ultimate way to stay balanced and keep everything moving smoothly.
